Meet Kayla Davis
Hi! My name is Kayla Davis. I'm the co-owner of Halo + Salt Salon. I'm so glad you're here!
A little bit about how I got here:
I'm the daughter of a hairdresser. The smell of Strong Hold Hairspray will forever remind me of my childhood, sitting on the edge of the bathtub watching my mom curl her hair and begging her to do mine next. Like any 10 year old, I was totally oblivious about what I really wanted to do with my life, so I followed the "typical" career path of graduating high school and heading to college. That's when I realized that it wasn't for me.
I packed my bags and moved to Boston, not sure of what my next step would be. My first job in this gorgeous city was as a receptionist at a hair salon. It wasn't long before I felt the itch to be behind the chair. I went to hair school part-time while gaining unmatched experience at the salon.
After school, I worked at a couple of salons. Fast forward 6 years, and the end goal of opening a hair home of my own was finally becoming obtainable.
And here we are!
Halo + Salt is my dream. I've finally found a place where I can connect and build relationships with my clients in an environment where we're both at home.
My specialty is creating natural, sunkissed blondes and brunettes while keeping hair integrity my number one priority.
