My name is Samantha Pelcher. I'm the co-owner of Halo + Salt Salon. I'm so glad you're here! Samantha Pelcher is the co-founder of Halo + Salt Salon. Born out of her passion for hair that she developed at a young age, Samantha has spent the past 15 years behind the chair -- learning, listening and perfecting her craft. She specializes in blondes and balayage - but her goal is to leave all her clients with uber, healthy hair. Samantha's journey started in New Jersey, where she was born and raised. After a few years in Jersey, she knew she needed a new challenge, a new city. So in October 2008, she shipped up to Boston to take on the Newbury Street stylist scene. Feeling at home ever since, she's worked at award-winning hair salons, including Beaucage Salon and Spa and The Loft Salon by Michael Albor, and built lasting friendships with her ever-growing clientele. Samantha combines unmatched talent with an extremely kindhearted approach to bring her clients a one-of-a-kind salon experience. My name is Kayla Davis. I'm the co-owner of Halo + Salt Salon. I'm so glad you're here! A little bit about how I got here: I'm the daughter of a hairdresser. The smell of Strong Hold Hairspray will forever remind me of my childhood, sitting on the edge of the bathtub watching my mom curl her hair and begging her to do mine next. Like any 10 year old, I was totally oblivious about what I really wanted to do with my life, so I followed the "typical" career path of graduating high school and heading to college. That's when I realized that it wasn't for me. I packed my bags and moved to Boston, not sure of what my next step would be. My first job in this gorgeous city was as a receptionist at a hair salon. It wasn't long before I felt the itch to be behind the chair. I went to hair school part-time while gaining unmatched experience at the salon. After school, I worked at a couple of salons. Fast forward 6 years, and the end goal of opening a hair home of my own was finally becoming obtainable. And here we are! Halo + Salt is my dream. I've finally found a place where I can connect and build relationships with my clients in an environment where we're both at home. My specialty is creating natural, sunkissed blondes and brunettes while keeping hair integrity my number one priority.
